The Accountability Process
Whatever we do, there is the undeniable fact that we will always be held accountable. Carolyn Myss
I have been thinking about accountability and what it means to me, particularly because I believe that we are all connected in some way and our lives are our own to shape with the guidance of the Most High.
Accountability I have learnt is taking responsibility for my actions, it is acting with respect and integrity- first to self and then to others - accountability can be seen rather than a punishment bus as a guide, a code of conduct to ensure that I treat myself and others with honor, grace and reverance.
How do I respond to situations that come up in my life - especially those that are out of my control. How do I act when I give my word? How do I show up for myself when the going gets tough, how do I show up for others when the going gets tough for them? How do I show up for difficult conversations?
Accountability I have learnt is that I must recognise the value that I hold in this world through God's grace.
If we consciously go around hurting others, we will be held accountable. So live knowing that what you do is yours, you cannot outsource your accountability. Karma, cause and effect is real.
For 2024, I am holding myself accountable, will you join me?
