Do You Listen To Your Body?
“Your body is your best guide. It constantly tells you, in the form of pain or sensations, what’s working for you and what’s not.” Hina Hashmi
In the past I would feel so guilty if I did not run on a Saturday morning. The feeling would follow me around like a wet blanket all day. I have learnt that guilt is a wasted emotion, guilt calls for punishment, so we do things to punish ourselves when we feel guilty.
Lately I have been paying attention to when I miss my Saturday running sessions
I have narrowed it down to
when I have had a pretty long Friday and went to bed late
when I have had an emotional day and want to lay in
when I go to bed really late
So, I deduced that, when my body is tired, it says to me rest here a while there is absolutely no need to beat up or feel guilty! Simple!
Everything usually is simple I have learnt!
Peace
